Deal of the Year: Deeskee will master your LP

This is seriously the deal of the year.

Have Deeskee master your album for next to nothing. Honestly, I'm a little confused as to why he's charging so little, given his amazing talent and proven track record as an engineer. Anyway, his generosity is your gain!

For the record...

Deeskee didn't ask us to post this, and this isnt' about randomly endorsing someone simply because he's the "homie." Deeskee is a serious talent when it comes to mastering. If you need specific references hit me up, but you need look no further than the post-production he did on the Painkillers record, Live in 75 with Factor, or Pooretry, for proof. I wish I could show you the befores and afters. Damn. I was also impressed with the work he did on Busdriver's Epitaph record. Don't sleep on this one!

---
fuck paying someone $30-$50 an hour. if you're on a small budget and don't need all the flossy bullshit, i'll do it for $10 a track.

I can also transfer all of your ADAT tapes to pro tools sessions and resurrect your classic stuff on DAT and re-master it. whatever you need.

i'll have a little time next month, so there's plenty of notice in advance.....

i've recently recorded, mixed and mestered projects for:

2Mex, Busdriver, Prince Po of Organized Konfusion, Existereo, Mestizo, Joe Dub, Ellay Khule, Dannu of The Visionaries, Medusa, Painkillers, Awol One & Factor, Candy's .22, etc, etc. ask any of them what they think of my work you'll get an honest answer....

thanks!!!!!!

Ian Johnson: Moods In Free Time

Ian Johnson's "Moods In Free Time" painting exhibit recently debuted at Park Life in San Francisco. Friends in attendance said it was quite a success! I've been a long time fan of Ian's work, both as a solo artist, and as the art director for Western Edition Skateboards. His portraits combine organic elements (of wood) with the perfect amount of color and motion.

Not just a visual artist, Ian is also 1/3 of the group Private School with Hawaii's own Jundax and Da Golden Ray. He is also 1/2 of I.N.K. and founding member of I ran Y. Check out the music links for sound clips and more.

YouTube Flood: Blowed related

I need to figure out how to encode my VHS videos and put them up on YouTube. The old grainy Good Life videos are pretty mind blowing in general, but when you take in to account the ages of these innovators at the time, you'll trip. In the meantime, enjoy these gems...
